About NRI Cell

This initiative has been launched so that NRIs, PIOs and OCIs hailing from West Bengal can reconnect and rebuild their connection with the state. Non-Resident Bengalis (NRBs) are a natural extension and integral part of the community of West Bengal.

The objective of this initiative is to prepare a comprehensive database of NRIs, PIOs and OCIs originating from West Bengal but currently residing in various parts of the world. This database would help the State Government to interact with registered members and will be useful in rendering assistance, in case they face any difficulties abroad and support is required.
